CALENDAR

Introduction

Our meetings take place in an alternating manner in Norwegian with translation to English, and in English with translation to Norwegian. We are a warm fellowship comprising different generations and that is inclusive, honest, and open. We believe in Jesus and are inspired and empowered by Him to do good deeds as individuals and collectively as a congregation. We welcome people to get in touch with us and visit us in our meetings. Whether one believes in Jesus Christ or not, all are welcomed with love and respect in our meetings. We wish to be an oasis in the heart of Follo.

The Congregation is registered in the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities, with VAT registration number and tax ID number 975 450 929.

Core values

Demonstrate love

Everything begins and ends with love. God created the world and sent Jesus because he loved. We believe that all human beings, whoever they are, have the same unalienable value. Jesus determines that the most important in the life of a human is to love God and one’s neighbour. We wish to show the love of God to all people. We believe that all people live in and from the mercy of God. We want to visualize this mercy and make it available to as many as possible through the lives we live and words we speak.

Reliable and honest

We believe that we have been given a message to live it out and convey to the world. We wish that Jesus shall be seen, believed, loved, and followed. To be successful in this, we must be trustworthy. We wish to be people and a fellowship with integrity. Words and action must be in one accord. In all that we do, we wish to be honest and humble. We must be truthful and live honestly with God and people. We must speak truthfully about God as the Bible describes him. We believe that the message of the Bible is true for all people and all times. Every generation and culture must make the message of the Bible available and understandable in its time and context. We believe in conveying God’s supernatural power in a respectful way when meeting people’s needs.

Relational

We believe that all people are created for fellowship. As Christians we want to build good relations in our local environment, congregation, and society. We wish our Christian fellowships to be inclusive for all people, make room for diversity, and foster each other’s spiritual gifts.

Work towards unity

We believe that all those who believe in Jesus Christ and live in obedience to his word are part of the Body of Christ. We will, thus, work for unity and fellowship in the congregations, and between different congregations and churches, locally, nationally, and globally. We believe in Pentecost for all churches and people.

Zealous for Jesus

We wish to be zealous in the mission and purpose we have been given. We wish to be ground-breaking when it comes to geography, culture, means, and methods to be able to convey the Gospel to as many as possible. We believe that since God has created the world, we are also called to do good deeds in all areas of life.
